Satisfied the noodle beast in me at Sapporo. Summer Special: chilled ramen with shredded chicken and assortment of vegetables.

LUNCH TIME. I am constantly coming back to Cafe Katja for their amazing sandwiches and low-key atmosphere. The restaurant just had their second expansion so time to plan a dinner party.
Life is like photography. We develop from the negatives.

Thanks to my friends and family for making my birthday special! I highly recommend pre-dinner drinks at Highlands. Look how happy I am.
What a nice Birthday gift to give that special someone…hint, hint.

The weather has changed drastically in New York City from 80º F early part of the week to heavy rain and 50º F today. But I am in good spirits because it is TGIF!!!

With the unexpected warm weather yesterday, S. and I decided to not stay-in and go out for dinner. I am in LOVE with the grilled octopus at Frankies 570 Spuntino. It reminds me of the scene in Jiro Dream of Sushi where his kitchen staff will massage the octopus for 45 mins before cooking. Every piece melted in my mouth.

SCENES from this past weekend. Fell in love with everything inside Michele Varian. Coffee break with my partner in crime at Smile To Go. A rare afternoon of bowling at Bowlmor Lanes. The winner of bowling was rewarded with a pint of beer at The Houston Hall.

THANK YOU Anthropologie for a beautiful Spring Fashion Show yesterday evening. And the macaroons were delectable…more please!
In your opinion, what are the top three things someone should consider before starting their own business?
If I may say so — sometimes I think people think too much about starting their own business rather than just doing it. If you think about it too much, you allow yourself to entertain the what-ifs, and then you’ll end up in a downward spiral of doubt. You only get one go around in this game. I wish I had more specific constructive advice, but really I feel that sometimes people just need a push off the edge. You’ll either succeed, or you’ll call it quits, but either way it will be an adventure, and it’s not going to kill you. You’ll have gone for it, and that’s what matters.
—From Sarah Ryhane of Saipua via Design*Sponge :: I totally agreed! I listened to a gut feeling I had and created my etsy shop in a month. I made mistakes. And can’t wait to make more mistakes because I have learned a lot from them.
